A Little Bit About Me!
I live just outside Narberth in Pembrokeshire with my lovely husband and two children who are my greatest joy and inspiration. I trained as a doula with Nurturing Birth after the birth of my first child, am a member of Doula UK and have been working as a postnatal doula since 2012.
I am a teacher with The Natal Family running regular BabyNatal antenatal and postnatal classes to help you feel calmer and more confident in your parenting journey.
Although I trained as both a birth and postnatal doula I have chosen to purely focus my doula work on supporting families postnatally as I feel the postnatal period is often overlooked. People often assume I must really love babies to do the job I do, and babies are amazing - but it's actually my love and compassion for mothers and new families that made me choose and love the work I do. I am also a qualified Maternity Nurse for those families who would like more intensive support with their new baby.
I am an advocate for breastfeeding and know that many mums stop breastfeeding sooner than they would like due to lack of support or bad advice. I would love to help you have the best start with breastfeeding if that is what you would like, however, I support all families regardless of how they choose to feed their babies.
For more information on the support I could provide to you please check out my Support page. And information on my BabyNatal classes can be found on my Classes page.
